Top Trends
All insights are for the US during the time of the VP debate
"2100 military time" was a top trending search for the VP debate in the hour leading up to it. Ahead of the debate it was the top trending topic on all of Google worldwide. "what is a debate spin room" was a breakout search before the kick off of the VP debate
"vp debate drinking game" and "vice president debate bingo" were trending ahead of the debate
"does climate change affect hurricanes" and "is climate change real" spiked +5,000% during the debate. "does trump believe in climate change" was a top trending question with climate change
"vice president debate fact check" was the top trending search for the 2024 United States vice presidential debate
Search interest for "border bill" was up +780% during the first hour of the debate, and "why was the border bill rejected" was the top trending "why"
"what percentage of solar panels are made in china" was a breakout search and the top trending related search with China
"minnesota abortion bill" and "texas abortion law" were top trending searches with "abortion" during the debate
"finland gun laws" and "finnish gun laws" were breakout searches. Top breakout searches related to "gun violence" were "what percentage of gun violence is done with illegal guns" and "is gun violence the leading cause of child death"
"paid family leave" was up +610% during the debate, and Minnesota was the state searching for it most. "why is daycare so expensive" was a breakout search
